Warnings: Child death mentions, torture, body horror all probably will be brought up.

[ In the morning, Irene will trek around the Grove to knock on doors and let everyone know she's setting up a information sharing meeting in the Inn's lobby. She figures there would be best, considering the new fireplace (thread pending on my behalf) set up and the fact it's about as safe as they're going to get.

Irene also lets everyone know that any fights and any blatant drama starters will be met with punishment. She doesn't elaborate on this further. Zahliya is invited. Irene tells Moder if she wants to sit by the door to listen, she can. She does not invite the merchant siblings, however - though she'll make no objections if someone else does.

She seems to be writing things down in their shared journals this meeting so people can reference this later. ]

[Okay. If everyone wants to play this game. Livio takes a good look at Lancelot... and then at his own freakishly large, disproportionate body.]

There are monsters everywhere. He doesn't have to be a human being to be treated like a person.

Again -- antagonizing him right now isn't helping anyone.

[ There is a long pause, claiming a name upon something will do no good. So he speaks again, ]

Many nights erred with comfort and a sense of listlessness - I realized shortly I had been stalked and followed. Needless to say it had been Mizuki, taking the moment upon himself to manipulate the world around me. Acting no less than those jesters who took our things only a month before. [ He moves now, an arm pointing towards where Mizuki ran off to. ] When approached on it, and asked what it is he was intending with his foul manners. The entity - Mizuki, told to me he was quelling his interests and understanding the realm around him.

With no concern for boundaries, or respect of those around him.

He does this again, by feeding you and those around the grove. Parts of himself, without asking consent in doing so.

[ At that point he moves his hand back to his side. He is angry yes, but still in the way he speaks. ]

What more do you want? His actions border that of crimes, and when you try to tell him he is wrong. He acts no less like a child.

Do you understand, where the danger lays now?

I don't have anything to say on the food, besides that I haven't eaten his cooking, and I won't deny that it's strange.

[Deep breaths.]

But the other stuff? It sounds to me like he's immature.

I haven't denied that he has the potential to be dangerous. I'm sure every one of us does. But are you so confident that he'll try to kill us all as to make an enemy of someone none of us can actually get away from?

[alligatus]

What sort of easy life have you lived to not use your experiences, [ A hard statement made, he leans forward as if to make his words come off as harsh as intended. ] to realize what sort of issue is going on here?

He is an entity, with great power.

And the immaturity of a child, with no care for humankind around him other than his pathetic attempts at trying. Causing more harm than good.

[ He leans back, half done talking to someone he feels lacks years of knowledge over countries, enemies, wars, etc that Lancelot feels he has over the others. ]

The lot of you best be able to handle what consequence comes, when you let a wolf lay with sheep.

[Oh, don't worry, Lancey, the feeling is very mutual. It's fortunate for Livio that self-restraint has been so thoroughly beaten into him, or he might try to finish the fight that was started.]

I may not be willing to divulge my life story to you, but that doesn't mean it was easy. I'm not ignorant to consequences.

Between the two of you, you admit he's at least trying. While you're just being a condescending prick without any critical thinking in that tin head. If you're just going to talk in circles about things we can't change, I think I'm done speaking to you.

Surely you are ignorant of the consequences since you cannot think rationally enough to put facts together and bend over backwards, the first moment someone looks at you doe-eyed.

[ So he continues to say. ]

Trying is the problem, [ Direct, whatever self-restraint the other has. The servant cares little for. ] he isn't trying - in the right ways. [ Meaning, Mizuki wont listen to anyone but himself and then when it is you do speak to him. He runs away, upset that he cannot be anything like you no matter how hard he tries. ] He is trying in his own selfish understanding of what he thinks is right. You can't see that, because he's got you fooled.

The fact he can do that to you, tells me enough.

The only thing needing to change, is everyone's attitude toward a monster - and if you cant - then you're only going to end up dead because of it. Hell - [ Lancelot actually breathes out a bit of anger here, then a short laugh. Feeling that this is the 'humans' he has to protect?

Earth is better off dead. He stops that degenerate thought, remembering Ritsuka. Remembering all that she fought for and still fights for - acknowledging his own discomforts with people are nothing more than that. Not everyone is stupid or bad, but at this moment Lancelot sure as hell feels like they all are.

Distance is created between them. ] you wont even get out of this place.

[As far as Livio is concerned, Lancelot is only either assuming things about him or confirming the same points he's made. It's pointless to further explain his own way of thinking, when the knight is so set in his.

He gets it, sort of. Only he used to be on the side of the monsters. And having been there... maybe he does sympathize with them a little too much. Even after they hurt him time and again. Those old consequences.

Even considering those, though... he knows he'd rather be dead than go back to being like that.]

I'm sure you'll get a real kick out of dancing on my grave.

[dissonanz]

( kreide has been quiet since the rapier was drawn, quieter still when he realized how out of his depths he really was here. despite being a stranger, livio had been... something grounding, if only because his size gave him something to focus on. and now as he debates with the knight, kreide looks between everyone fretfully before quietly hovering at livio's side- )

Are... are you alright...?

[livlaughlove]

[So long as he isn't facing down asshole mctincan, Livio tries to relax a little. At least his face, so he doesn't quite resemble the killer he was.]

Ah, yeah, I'll be fine. How about you? Seem like you're having a rough night.

[dissonanz]

... It's just one thing on top of another, I suppose... I just... wasn't expecting it. I've heard of Seaborn, but I've never seen one before... I never expected one to be a person.

... I just don't know what to think.

[livlaughlove]

Are they supposed to look different? [Taking whatever he answers with a grain of salt, since Kreide says he's never actually seen one.

... And maybe, just for good measure:] Whatever opinion you end up with on the matter, don't let anyone else try to force their beliefs on you. Mine included. Do what you think is right and keep yourself safe.

More... like aquatic animals? But also not. Certainly not as human as Mizuki looks...

( kreide frowns before nodding quietly with a sigh. )

... I really hope this isn't indicative of our stay here's future.

[The more he hears about it, the more Livio likens Seaborn and Mizuki to Plants and Independents. Which is probably a bad idea, assigning traits to things he isn't familiar with, and have the potential to be dangerous. But it's human nature to find patterns. As long as he's self-aware, he can keep from slipping too far.]

You and me both.

You don't have to thank me. If anything, I should be thanking you. It's helpful to have a neutral party with these things.

( he's still not sure what to do. is he neutral or just incredibly overwhelmed and anxious? )

Mm, but you feel... secure. It's welcome, after such a taxing day.

You weren't out there stabbing or yelling, so I'd say so.

[That last bit certainly gives Livio pause. He just stares at Kreide for a moment.]

"Secure?" Me?

It feels a bit safer next to you! Maybe it's because you're very big.

Well. That's true enough.

[He might end up glancing away, though.]

But you shouldn't get too comfortable, if we're talking about steering clear of monsters.

I will judge you on your actions here. And as such, I will judge Mizuki thusly as well.

( that said. mizuki don't feed people parts of you without asking. he's going to courteously deny any food. )

I won't argue with you. Especially after all that. But I gave fair warning.
