[OPEN] elsword's housewarming party!

Who: Elsword & You
What: Housewarming party!! Snacks!! Mysterious river noises!!!! A mushroom probably!
When: Early August, in the evening
Where: Elsword's house :D
Warnings: frat boy party stuff probably

Elsword has been building a house. And, when August rolls around (time is weird here, just go with it, it Feels like August ok) he manages to complete it. Which means...

a) moving really shitty furniture into the actual rooms, sorry this is all the Shopkeeper could spare, he'll buy and/or make nicer furniture later
b) installing a chandelier (dangerous!)
c) going around to the grove's residents to ask if they want to live with him
and
d) inviting people to have a "housewarming party", and explaining "I've never had one before but it sounds like fun" (you are here!)

There's food aplenty (mostly fish) cooked up and ready to eat, and the Shopkeeper has provided further party snacks, which is a fun way of saying there is a single large bowl of pretzels on a coffee table that looks like a halved tree. There are apples picked from the apple tree by the river's edge (Elsword has already thanked the forest for those). There's water. It's not the most extravagant party food, but there should be enough to go around. Just be sure to share with your fellow housemates and/or current partygoers, please, it's only polite.

There are games, too, but not anything too exciting. Elsword doesn't have any board games, and video games are a myth where he's from, so you'll all be playing verbal games like Two Truths & a Lie or Truth or Dare, which may or may not devolve into the most fratboy shit ever. There's no liquor here to make you immune to questioning your life choices, after all.

Outside on the patio are some of those awful, terribly uncomfortable plastic chairs likely pulled from the back of the General Store, but at least you can sit down and enjoy the sounds of the river nearby. The rushing waters, the sound of something croaking, maybe some gurgling... it's all very normal. There's nothing happening in the water. Elsword has even tried to create fake fireflies outside by using some of his magic to make little yellow orbs that float and bob in the air. It's quieter than inside, too, and is a nice escape from the partying. A relaxing time.

At the end of the night, after everyone has partied out, Elsword takes to cleaning up. He'll tell you not to worry about it and just let him handle everything, but if you stick around to help, you might find him staring into the shards of a mirror.

A city is... um, a large population of people gathered in an area that has like... boundaries and local governments and stuff. I'd say it's like a community, but I suppose cities these days feel less and less like that. [ Which is a shame, really. ] If you know what a town or a village is, they're generally considered to be the bigger version of that.

[ Mizuki does fall silent when she brings up her god, though. A sudden surprise in interest the moment she brings up "the Sea". It shouldn't be all that alarming, knowing that these people weren't from Terra like him -- of course the religions and regions are going to vary. But still, having someone speak so adoring of a sea god is... something. What that something is Mizuki doesn't know. Startling, maybe? Or, maybe he's happy? Hard to say for sure. ]

Well... I can certainly try my hand at it. Fish is my specialty so that shouldn't be a problem. That said, any special qualities to the bread besides being braided? I'm less of a baker, but I've definitely made a couple pies and such before~.

As for me, I'm more of a traveler. It's unlike me to stay in a place for very long, so I've tried a lot of the food around the world. But, ah, if you mean where I was born, that was a small fishing town, so that was a lot of what we ate.[ The past tense "was" being the optimal word. ]

Oh - Like a Kingdom? [ Caoimhe listens and nods intently. Taking in every bit of information from the other that she can afford. Though, it is uncertain as to whether or not she was able to pick up on Mizuki's introspection. With the fluctuation on the subject of Sea God. ] We are much a like!! I am also a traveler, it is why I know quite a bit about food and other cultures at least from Grandall. Ah... Your home town sounds much like Caomhair! That is where I am from, it is a place that is settled by the sea.

I guess it's kind of like a kingdom, sans the politics, yeah. [ Kings tend to be bad news bears outside of fairytales, though. At least, in Mizuki's experience. ] Oh? How fun~. My home was settled between both mountains and sea, so it felt as though we were very cozily tucked into the world at times. It also meant we didn't get a lot of travelers, but no one seemed to mind so much. Everyone in my town were Aegir, anyway, so we quite liked being so close to the ocean.

!!!! [ OH, HER TOO!! That's insane - ] Oh That is the same as us! We even have a Dead Mans peak, a place far up into the mountains many people come to take the challenge of jumping off and seeing if they survive the fall.

[ Placing the food she collected into a basket on the floor. Caoimhe quickly pulls out her instrument of illusions, and fingers dexterously - with such urgency. Begin to play a quick tune. In a matter of moments, a small map begins to be created by her ushering. Before them sits a mockup map of the land she lived upon, something she recalled seeing so many times. ]

Caomhair is located far east - [ Right next to where the token is located. ] The mountains span all across the continent, it is said to be the back of Beithir. Our god, protecting us from the storms that exist outside its embrace. The waters are dangerous and tumultuous - none have passed the deep waters and lived to tell the tale.

A challenge, huh? Where I'm from, that would just be called suicide. [ Thanks, Mizuki.

Regardless, he watches with a mild curiosity as she conjures a map from thin air. ] An interesting use of your arts~. I don't normally see such a practical use. I guess I don't normally see a musical arts user, though.

That said, it sounds like our homes were cut from the same cloth. I wouldn't exactly call the waters "tumultuous," but that doesn't mean they weren't too dangerous for ships to go too far into. Travels to other places needed to be done by air for that reason.

Who knows~, maybe our similarities means we were destined to meet or something.

Oh - OH! No nothing like that... Though I suppose it is dangerous enough to die... [ SUICIDE??? Who the heck willingly does that. ]

Oh, do you think so? [ Caoimhe's eyes light up when he mentions a destiny to meet one other. It warms her heart to think that this plausibly could be the truth. Caoimhe dearly appreciated the idea that she was important enough to hold such a potential in his life.

The harp lowers, and she ends her song gently. ]

Thank you... Maybe we should finish up and go to cooking. I didn't mean to hold us up like that.

[ Caoimhe lets the other hold the basket for now. She moves to pull her back out, and opens the leather cover of it. Its complete utter black ness in it, but she kind of holds it towards Mizuki. ]

[ ...? Mizuki looks down at the basket, then to her bag and sort of.......... sticks his whole arm in instead- ]

Ah! [ Caoimhe giggles a little bit... It is an item not inherently common even in her world, so she finds the interaction a bit wholesome. Giggling a little bit. ]

Yes you can! [ Im not sure, but its a ... ? Neutral tempature pocket of space from what I understand within the bag of holding so Mizuki just feels... An emptiness - a lack of heat. But no presence of something making it cold either - if absence of heat is cold... But like.. Its just... Neutral. ]

It doesnt! [ She pats the bag and lifts it up and down gently as if to show. ] Uh - hm... That is interesting you could fill it with water I suppose.

How convenient~! Water can get pretty heavy!! Oh, but that would probably destroy your bag, huh?

No it would not! Though it would ruin the things inside, I guess if you wanted to do that... You'd have to empty it out first.

[ At this point she just thinks theyre having a funny thinking game. ]

[ Caoimhe's hands clatter together cutely, in a excitable clap. ]
