[ A few hours before the sun rises to it's fullest at noon, on a day in September before the Monsters Truly Come Calling But There Might Be a Faerie Or Two when it's particularly warm, Pure Vanilla will write a post. It's quick, and to the point. ]

I believe today would be our best bet at contacting Lady Beiwe. Considering the current state of her Church and it's defilement, I feel holding it in the Grove by her statue will be the best course of action. Of course, I am open to alternatives!

[ But really, unlike the giant statue for Ourania, there is nothing else yet for Beiwe. So anyone glancing out their windows will see Pure Vanilla dutifully drawing a large magic circle with radiating lines and symbols and a spot in the middle, in the dirt. He even moves Beiwe's statue to the middle (minotaur strength, yay!) and Ouraina's statue to a spot in one of the Cardinal Directions that symbolize the moon. A place of honor. There are places left open for others to add their own symbols, their own lines, and being as how it's in the dirt, it's easily changeable as more people show up. Add your magic knowledge or find a spot to sit inside the circle if you desire to speak to Biewe.

Or make garlands of her flowers, or make Sunny D or... something. They're winging it. ]

(( like the moon seance this will mostly be a mingle until the mods come in with whether we succeed, blow up, or set the entire place on fire flamebringer. ))

[ Stubborn is the most gentle way of saying it. The man is a menace. He understands why Loop isn't reaching for the fish immediately and that's fine with him. Instead he sits down beside Loop - giving the other enough space of course - and sets the plate down in front of them. For when they're ready. ]

Mm! Well enough! I believe with everything we have gathered we shall be able to contact Beiwe with little to no issues. And with everyone who has shown up who plans to take a place in the circle, it should help stabilize everything well enough.

[ Plus with those staying out, there's going to be plenty of protection in case Suri tries something. ]

Good! I'm sure Beiwe will be happy to hear from everyone!

[They don't know much about this ritual, but it'll probably be fine...? They're only trying to communicate, and she's already done that with them before in the temple, so it can't be that hard to pull off. And if it doesn't work, at least it probably won't backfire? They can't think of how a wish to talk to the goddess might blow up in a bad way.

For now, they just have to try and hope for the best. It'll be fine...]

... What are you planning asking her? If you don't mind me asking! It can be a surprise, if you want. [just curious! making conversation!]

[ While Ourania's went well enough, it was at a place of power for her. Pure Vanilla is worried that taking place in the Grove, near the forest as it is, may accidentally invoke the Fallen Sun. ]

I am sure she will as well, it has been a long time coming! I know we meant to do it far earlier, during Summer, but so much happened.

[ It was almost like Suri was attempting to stop them from doing just that. Hm. The question makes him smile and shake his head. ]

I have no particular questions I wish to ask her, beyond how she is doing, and what more we can do to help aid her and her wife. Instead, I wish to give something to her, as I did Lady Ourania, in hopes it strengthens her even a small bit. Will you be wishing to ask her anything?

[Giving her strength... makes sense. If she's opposed to their captor, they can't say they're against the idea. It would be nice to see a god actually help for once, instead of sitting idly by while people suffer.

If she helps. They hope she does, like she did before. Even if it came a little too late.

They look up when the question gets turned back on them, brushing aside the upsetting thoughts. Ah, well...]

I already asked my question! So... I guess not? I'll probably just stay out of it, I'm sure other people have better questions to ask.

Hmm, you are always welcome to join the circle if you change your mind, my friend! Even if you have no questions to ask directly, I am sure she would be pleased simply to hear from you. Of course, we may also put your memory of the previous ritual to the test, and see if it strengthens them!

[ Oh, sweetie. He wants to hug them again. Pet their spiky head. They're so eager to help. He recognizes that desperation and wants to reassure them so badly that they are helping. To not push themselves to the point of breaking.

If Lady Beiwe is anything like her wife, she will desire to hear you speak. To tell her whatever you desire. She will ask you questions, I am sure, to hear about your life.

O-oh, that's... [They hesitate, wringing their hands in their lap. Nevermind, the vibes are once again atrocious.] Hahah, I'd rather not! I don't have much to share, and... it's fine, really! It's not about me, I'm not going to bore everyone with that.

[There's really no way to explain "I can't remember most of my past and the parts I do remember are all traumatic" in a fun and easy way. They don't want to talk about themselves at all, thanks.]

[ Well! Pure Vanilla was doing his best not to crowd Loop with too much attention and affection but that? Well, that gets a little noise out of him finally - half a huff, half a bleat - and he reaches out to tug Loop in against him.

Get squished into another hug, Loop. At least Pure Vanilla isn't attempting to break their back with it, but is definitely a tight squish. ]

[They make a strangled noise, spikes shooting up along their back. Ah.

Same with before, they awkwardly hold very still, because they're still not very good at hugs and they don't want to be. weird? about it?? They are not going to cry this time, please, they're doing their best.

... they do kind of like the random hugs, though. If only there was a way to get these without saying something depressing first. Alas.]

[ There's a thing called words and asking for it, and Pure Vanilla will gladly teach Loop he's always there if the other wants a hug. Until then, all he can go on is when instincts say it's a good hug time.

Like now, even though Loop is pulling a wonderful impersonation of a tree. At least the animal part of the Minotaur hasn't kicked in to begin aggressively rubbing his cheek on the other's spikey head.

But the hold is tight and as warm as the one on the roof was, if a little less fuzzy cause he's sheared a bit down again. It makes the daffodils around his neck far more easier to plop their buttery yellow petals onto Loops head, however. ]

[They do, eventually, raise their hands juuuust enough to gently return the hug... it's awkward, but sincere. They let some of the stress melt out of their shoulders, soaking in the warmth instead. Stars, they still needed this.

They shouldn't monopolize Vanilla's time, though. He still has a ritual to prepare for. They... gently try to extricate themselves.]

[ There it is. The return makes Vanilla's hug tighten just a bit, a soft squish as he feels the tension melt out of them. A gentle back rub along the top of the shoulder blades, and then he lets go as Loop pulls back.

And can't stop himself. Carefully he finds a spot to lightly pet their head, as if there was hair for him to fix. ]

There is, if you desire it. Whatever magical knowledge you have will be appreciated if added to the circle. Even if it's just words written along the lines. As well, if you do not plan on speaking with Lady Beiwe, keeping a magical monitor on us when it begins will aid greatly. We are all from different worlds, adding different magic to each other that may upset the balance of our bodies and minds. Though I do not doubt Lady Beiwe will keep our minds safe, our bodies may be beyond her as they will remain here.

[ He assumes! ]

[They are somewhat prepared for the back-touch. Staticky spikes still ripple off the point of contact, but they don't flinch as much from it... the head pat, though. They nearly duck out of it on instinct, but— still as a statue, once again, aside from the way their entire body is always in motion, shifting and shining.

Their head is uncomfortably warm from all the light, but it's solid! ish! The spiky parts are intangible so it just feels like a weird mushy ball. Don't think too hard about it.

...

Anyway!! They may have gotten distracted by the cool hand on their head. They take a few extra seconds to remember what they were just talking about, careful not to move too much.]

Okay, magic ritual words! I... will try that! [spoken with a great deal of fake confidence, they have no blinding clue how they could help with that but they're not going to say that. Maybe if they wing it some crazy Island ritual will come back to them?? And Vanilla has been so nice to them, so they have to at least try!] You can count on me, Pure Vanilla Cookie! That's a Loop guarantee!

[ His new baby boy is so adorable with their little spikeys and their glowing star head. Weird mushy ball head or not, Cookies pet cake dogs covered in icing after all. He'll stop petting to let them recover, beaming instead. ]
