☀︎ it's a bright beautiful day to talk to a goddess ☀︎
Who: Sunyonce + everyone I dunno man
What: Sun Seance to talk to Beiwe
When: mumble mumble warm day high noon yeehaw
Where: Grove, safer
Warnings: None right now but if they come up-
[ A few hours before the sun rises to it's fullest at noon, on a day in September before the Monsters Truly Come Calling But There Might Be a Faerie Or Two when it's particularly warm, Pure Vanilla will write a post. It's quick, and to the point. ]
I believe today would be our best bet at contacting Lady Beiwe. Considering the current state of her Church and it's defilement, I feel holding it in the Grove by her statue will be the best course of action. Of course, I am open to alternatives!
[ But really, unlike the giant statue for Ourania, there is nothing else yet for Beiwe. So anyone glancing out their windows will see Pure Vanilla dutifully drawing a large magic circle with radiating lines and symbols and a spot in the middle, in the dirt. He even moves Beiwe's statue to the middle (minotaur strength, yay!) and Ouraina's statue to a spot in one of the Cardinal Directions that symbolize the moon. A place of honor. There are places left open for others to add their own symbols, their own lines, and being as how it's in the dirt, it's easily changeable as more people show up. Add your magic knowledge or find a spot to sit inside the circle if you desire to speak to Biewe.
Or make garlands of her flowers, or make Sunny D or... something. They're winging it. ]
(( like the moon seance this will mostly be a mingle until the mods come in with whether we succeed, blow up, or set the entire place on fire flamebringer. ))

cw: lots of talking about blood!
[Stan doesn't really look like someone who would a lot about that, and he knows that, so he moves on!]
Yeah, well. It was rough, but it had its moments? You know how it is when you suffer through something with somebody. You gotta latch onto the good parts so you don't lose all your marbles.
[He laughs, even though that isn't particularly reassuring.]
We were stuck in a messed up falling apart dream world for...almost a year, I think? Then once we all got outta that we washed up on the beach of some new place as squid. It was pretty grim and everything smelled like blood, all the time. They said it was something called blood pollution. Plus a lot of food resources were scarce 'cause it was hard to grow things and raise animals - we had to live without coffee!
[Can you imagine, PV? That's clearly the worst thing he's listed since he built up to it so much!]
no subject
Jokes on Stan, however, it is reassuring because it's exactly what Pure Vanilla would (and has, though he doesn't recall) urge them to do. ]
You are quite correct, my friend. You must find the light in the dark, or you will lose yourself to it entirely.
[ He listens with some fascination because honestly, that sounds quite like a horror show. He has a stone Dipper gave him of - he thinks - Dippers blood. He hasn't studied it yet, because it felt inappropriate, but blood pollution makes him want to now. Dipper. Child...
The last bit, the offense in Stans voice, makes him laugh. ]
Ah, remind me to introduce you to my husband. He would understand your woes clearly. You needn't worry about that here, coffee is in strong abundance. As well as food and animals both. [ Says a half animal. ] And not so much, ah, blood everywhere?
no subject
Yeah - definitely an improvement. All the blood pollution could corrupt people too. It was kinda the double edged sword of getting all that blood magic we got? It can mess us up something awful if we don't keep an eye on it.
[Unfortunately, that's still the case now. Stan was able to help a little, but when he first arrived Dipper was starting to corrupt, with black feathers sticking out of his hair.]
Heh, so your guy's a coffee fiend, huh? I like the stuff, but Ford's got me beat. He's the kinda guy who'll drink ten cups of it and then just not sleep for days, if you'll let him!
[Spoken by someone who clearly tries not to let him, when he knows it's happening.]
Good to know there's plenty to go around. Y'know, of everything.
[He actually seems mildly relieved to have that confirmed!]
no subject
Consequences for it's use... it sounds very familiar. Is there no way to cleanse the corruption?
[ Half curious about Stans previous world, half wondering for Lily. But he'll not pry too hard, a casual question, and snorts softly in amusement. ]
Your brother indeed might even have my husband beat there, I must admit. Warrior though he is, I fear even he has his limits. I hope. [ Please let his husband not drink ten cups of coffee.
The relief makes him smile. ]
You will find very little to want here, and if you do, Heimr or his sister Ydalir are able to fetch it for you. Fruits and vegetables are plentiful, as many of us have planted quite a bit over time, there are those that hunt and fish and are willing to bring back their catches and many ... many bakers.
no subject
Not really. I mean, you can take care of someone one on one and heal their corruption for a while? But the whole world was basically blood-poisoned 'cause there were so many of us so there was always someone getting corrupted or hitting Beasthood. It was kinda just how things were, and you learned to deal with it like learning any other first aid. You treat the stress, and you keep going.
[That being said, Stan takes a deep breath!]
The air's real good here though! And apparently there's plenty to go around, so...pretty sure it won't be so bad here.
[Sure it sounds like a hippie commune, but you know what? Maybe they need a hippie commune for a little while if it's not going to stress them out to the point of turning into monsters.
Then again...he makes a bit of a face.]
...Kinda sounds too good to be true though.
no subject
It's an obviously kind one and would reach his eyes, if he opened said things. ]
How much has been explained about the world here? While I would say the Good things are not false, there is no hidden agenda to the Guardians desire to keep us healthy and well cared for, I would agree there is the bitter with the sweet.
[ He gestures for Stan to get comfortable with him sitting down, if he'd like. Old man bones on them both, even if Pure Vanilla cheats with Forever-ish Young. ]
no subject
So...Stan sits down with him.]
Dipper's said a bunch, but...y'know. It's a lot to take in. And assuming the best hasn't gone all that great for me before.
[He shrugs.]
Makes sense though. Nothing's all sweet. ...What's the bitter part?
[Not that Stan hasn't heard some bad things here and there, but it'd be good to get another perspective on it.]
no subject
[ But sugar can be burnt. Butter can grow rancid. Turning his attention outwards, he watches the others mill about the circle more. ]
Our captor, for the most part, and the little "Games" he likes to play on us. Whether it is turning us into animals and racing for his amusement, trapping us under water, or throwing people into a volcano.
[ He believes that is the one Fel told him about. He glances off in the direction of home. He has not heard from her... ]
no subject
[He follows PV's gaze to everyone around them. It's so odd that they all just accept this so easily, or at least Stan thinks so. The bad stuff is easier to get, more of what he's used to.]
Heh. Yeah. ...Probably could have figured that. The last place we were in was like that. Sometimes the world just changed around you and messed with your head, or it made you shed your skin like a snake, or just dragged all of your old wounds out in the open just for the hell of it.
["Traumatic memory trials" as he and Dipper have taken to calling them.]
no subject
Ah, you will find yourself quite at home here, I feel. Though I have yet to shed my skin, we have indeed shared memories. I am hoping with so many shared experiences, we will be able to band together easier, and figure out ways to ease whatever may happen. As well as combine knowledge in perhaps ways to escape and open ways home.
[ Healing Ourania's wound but other than convincing Heimr to help close it, there have been no ideas yet. ]
