☀︎ it's a bright beautiful day to talk to a goddess ☀︎
Who: Sunyonce + everyone I dunno man
What: Sun Seance to talk to Beiwe
When: mumble mumble warm day high noon yeehaw
Where: Grove, safer
Warnings: None right now but if they come up-
[ A few hours before the sun rises to it's fullest at noon, on a day in September before the Monsters Truly Come Calling But There Might Be a Faerie Or Two when it's particularly warm, Pure Vanilla will write a post. It's quick, and to the point. ]
I believe today would be our best bet at contacting Lady Beiwe. Considering the current state of her Church and it's defilement, I feel holding it in the Grove by her statue will be the best course of action. Of course, I am open to alternatives!
[ But really, unlike the giant statue for Ourania, there is nothing else yet for Beiwe. So anyone glancing out their windows will see Pure Vanilla dutifully drawing a large magic circle with radiating lines and symbols and a spot in the middle, in the dirt. He even moves Beiwe's statue to the middle (minotaur strength, yay!) and Ouraina's statue to a spot in one of the Cardinal Directions that symbolize the moon. A place of honor. There are places left open for others to add their own symbols, their own lines, and being as how it's in the dirt, it's easily changeable as more people show up. Add your magic knowledge or find a spot to sit inside the circle if you desire to speak to Biewe.
Or make garlands of her flowers, or make Sunny D or... something. They're winging it. ]
(( like the moon seance this will mostly be a mingle until the mods come in with whether we succeed, blow up, or set the entire place on fire flamebringer. ))

She's carrying Mizuki like a small cakepup under her arm, for Witches sake.
And though he takes a seat once they've all be relatively scaled up to Beiwe size, he keeps quiet. He let's everyone go first, like he did with Ourania. Their questions, their confusion. A.B.A's abject misery over her husband.
As he waits, he reaches into his clothing pockets for his broken Soul Jam. The only things he desires to ask, after all, are general well being questions. He's here for other business. ]

What's up, Pure Vanilla, what do you have there.]

It is a honor to finally meet you, Lady Beiwe. Are you well?
no subject
no subject
Indeed. We are still looking into ways to alleviate her of some of that burden. I have been meaning to speak with Heimr and Ydalir.
[ A lot of stuff has happened.... ]
I assume you know why I am really here for? Other than the muffins. Which are delightful.
no subject
But yes. I know why you're here. You want to give me your Souljam, don't you?
no subject
We will find a way, I promise you. And yes. A gift, from myself and my husband this time.
[ He unfolds the cloth around the two pieces of Jam. Dark purple and deep blue pieces, glimmering with their own light still, and he will gently lay the pieces onto the table. ]

Beiwe contemplates the offering with a raised brow, appreciating the LGBT solidarity here, but she doesn't reach out to take them yet. She, instead, places her elbows on the table and her hands in front of her mouth, twining her fingers together.]
You'll have to prove to me that you'll be fine without them. In the meantime, I'll wait until everyone has had their fill of food and reprieve. I know you didn't come here merely for an overly-sweet lunch, and I wouldn't send you all home without assessing your worth further.
no subject
We are both still standing, Lady Beiwe, though your concern is appreciated. We existed before the Jams came to us, and we will exist without the pieces of them. It will be an adjustment, yes, considering how long we have been with them, but our souls are still our souls, or strengths were our strengths before we were blessed. If we were not strong enough to stand without them, they would not have come to us in the first place.
[ He covers them back up for now and helps himself to more food because, as much as he doesn't eat often, it would be rude not to. ]
And I do wish to ask you several (lore) questions.
no subject
For now... what are your questions? I'll answer to the best of my ability.

[ He's of the Sun after all. He inclines his head and thinks, silently picking at his muffin. If he's actually sticking some in his mouth remains to be seen. He has no reason to doubt her words as she told Dipper - Suri has made it very clear he hates them, finds them mere insects.
Yet... he does feel love, in a twisted sense. Love for Nene. Love for Zonari, as he has heard. A weird prideful love when he even got Vanilla to say Suri's name. It most certainly would not have been enough to make him even stronger, the name was not said out of worship after all... ]
I think, my most pressing question right now, Lady Beiwe. What was your brother like, before all of this? Before humans, when it was just you and him?
no subject
[Blasphemy is not real and it cannot hurt her in a way that matters. But the question does make her lean back in her seat, arms crossed.]
I would say "judgemental". Curious. He was nervous and strange about Ourania, but it was somewhat justified, considering we found her while she was naked, feral, and had a rabbit clenched in her teeth. [Fun facts!] There weren't problems between us, not until the first humans came to be. He maintained that curiosity, of course, when they did. He wanted to push them, like a child with an anthill and a magnifying glass. While I saw humanity as something deserving of my respect and love, he saw it as nothing more than something to play with. Something lesser.
I won't say he was ever normal, but I won't claim to be normal either. He had wanted to learn... but never was that learning cemented in anything wholesome. The only one he saw as his equal ever... was me. Me, and only me, no matter what time period we were in.
no subject
He listens quietly, thoughtfully. Double takes on the 'found Ourania naked and feral with a rabbit in her teeth' part. Ah that. Hm. Somehow that explains Werewolf behavior, and he understands Beat a little more.
And it doesn't surprise him that Suri, even from the beginning, saw them as insects but his curiosity manifested as cruelty. Burning ants is not something Pure Vanilla knows about (their ants are rather large and Cookies are not inherently mean), but he can understand. Cruelty towards something lesser. Smaller. ]
I... forgive me, if my words may seem harsh, for I do not know the years of history between you two. Did you never try to guide him? Take his hands with yours, help him create something together? If he respected and loved you, would not some of his cruelty be swayed by your love in return?
[ Humans created by Ourania and Beiwe, and Suri a third wheel. Watching his sister peel away from him. Pure Vanilla is trying to learn. ]

So his Corruption is his own hatred? The blackening of his Sun is merely his own jealousy and rage? I admit, I do not wish to attack him. I do not wish to cause him harm, as much as he wishes it upon us.
[ Yet, she should know, he will. If he has to. He did it before with Dark Enchantress Cookie, and he will join his powers to everyone elses to strike Suri down if it comes to it. ]
Is there no voice he would listen to, consider even for a moment?
[ She did say 'Aurora's... and Peepaw already has a plan for her there. ]

I am sorry... I do not know what it's like to have a sibling turn so thoroughly against you, but I can only imagine it must hurt. It may sound silly, to say this to a God, but if you ever need to talk...

I'll consider it.

Who do you think he got it from, MOM. ]
Thank you.
