☀︎ it's a bright beautiful day to talk to a goddess ☀︎
Who: Sunyonce + everyone I dunno man
What: Sun Seance to talk to Beiwe
When: mumble mumble warm day high noon yeehaw
Where: Grove, safer
Warnings: None right now but if they come up-
[ A few hours before the sun rises to it's fullest at noon, on a day in September before the Monsters Truly Come Calling But There Might Be a Faerie Or Two when it's particularly warm, Pure Vanilla will write a post. It's quick, and to the point. ]
I believe today would be our best bet at contacting Lady Beiwe. Considering the current state of her Church and it's defilement, I feel holding it in the Grove by her statue will be the best course of action. Of course, I am open to alternatives!
[ But really, unlike the giant statue for Ourania, there is nothing else yet for Beiwe. So anyone glancing out their windows will see Pure Vanilla dutifully drawing a large magic circle with radiating lines and symbols and a spot in the middle, in the dirt. He even moves Beiwe's statue to the middle (minotaur strength, yay!) and Ouraina's statue to a spot in one of the Cardinal Directions that symbolize the moon. A place of honor. There are places left open for others to add their own symbols, their own lines, and being as how it's in the dirt, it's easily changeable as more people show up. Add your magic knowledge or find a spot to sit inside the circle if you desire to speak to Biewe.
Or make garlands of her flowers, or make Sunny D or... something. They're winging it. ]
(( like the moon seance this will mostly be a mingle until the mods come in with whether we succeed, blow up, or set the entire place on fire flamebringer. ))

[Is he a combatant? That's a question that gives him pause, but as he's already drawing the azure pine, he decides it's not one he needs to wonder about. Sure, you might look at him and see a gangly teen with his nose in a book, or a kid excitedly talking about magic theory and math, but when it comes down to it, he is always the first to fight back when the world rises up against him.]
[This isn't really anything different. If she wants to test his resolve, then he'll gladly show it to her. It's just another trial, and he'll come out on top of this one, too.]
[While he's not the first to go up against her, he doesn't dawdle much, either. When it's his turn, he comes at her with little hesitation, polearm in hand.]

She can match him, she thinks. Melee arms are her speciality, although she prefers a sword — but sparring matches are supposed to be fun, dammit, so she unsummons her sword only to summon a golden polearm instead. This way, they can clash properly, although hers has a light-bathed tip to blunt it...
Mostly because she's going to try to bean Dipper in the gut with it, and she's not out to kill anybody. It's gonna bruise if it hits though, and she strikes hard and fast. Better dodge!]

[Luckily he's small and quick so he's dodging pretty good up until he's not.]
[A misstep in the rhythm of dodges costs him and he goes down like a bag of rocks. He isn't down long, though and is already dragging himself back up, regardless of how much air just expelled from his lungs.]
[And then his form flickers almost? Weird-]
no subject
[She could use her weird ~omnipotence~ to cheat buuuuuuut it's more fun if she Doesn't. It's not like she's going to put on a show of seeing what's up with that flickering form, either.
What you doin', Dipper?]
no subject
[Is he getting cocky? A little! Or maybe he is just trying to bait Beiwe into continuing her attack so he can actually get her from behind. Her Omnipotence probably told her that the Dipper in front of her was suddenly an illusion so the real thing could get around to her blind spot.]
[She will find he has no qualms with exploiting weaknesses or playing dirty. He didn't learn to fight to be honorable about it, he learned it to survive.]
no subject
His ass had better be playing dirty, she thinks whenever he hits her, because her brother will almost certainly play dirty back.]

...
She will immediately try to jab him in the stomach with the blunt end of her spear.]
