If I had a nickel for every time I've woken up at the end of the month with a full set of memories from another version of me that's just a little to the left


I would have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, I guess, but it's weird that it's happened twice.

[The Pines are weirdly tactile people, so Dipper has simply never seen a reason to not let family be affectionate. He will take his seat to eat, though, after patting PVs horns.]

Oh, that doesn’t sound too bad. Grunkle Stan’s was weirdly subtle, too. I think one major past event must have changed for him.

[On the subject of his, Dipper frowns a little in thought.]

Mine was… well, you probably remember meeting him, right? He was a Me that had never been dimensionally kidnapped when I was thirteen, so. No Deerington, no Trench. No blood magic- you get the idea. [No traumatic eye injury-]

I’ve always theorized that I was actually split from another me that was still back home. I didn’t think I would get to see what he was like.

Hm... That is certainly a theory.

[ There is an itching in the back of his skull that tells him a memory from his time in Ryslig wants to resurface. Which means this conversation has happened similarly there. ]

It would seem I may have heard something similar in the other place. Yet I have not heard of the Goddesses saying we are fractured in any way.

[ Son-boy you are not eating, Pure Vanilla will sit with him to nibble on something too so Dipper will eat, too thin. ]

So I must conclude, even if you were once split from another you, being here has converged all yous to one being.

[ Unless they're being lied to and this is just another Torment Nexus, but Peepaw believes in the Goddesses and saw no lies in their words when he was able to do so. ]

[He's eating, he's eating! Look at how he picks up this snack to munch on it thoughtfully while PV talks.]

Hm.

[That is an interesting point to make, though. While he hadn't exactly considered that to be the case, PV bringing it up does make him think it over. After all, PV is a smart, worldly guy, he's got no reason to discount the theory.]

[He thinks maybe its worth entertaining. Something perhaps, to find evidence for. It seems crazy for Every Instance Of Dipper to be converged into one, but if he is a convergence of a couple Dipper, that would make sense. Perhaps he is the sum of all Dipper's resident to Dimension 52'\. Or maybe he is the result of the split and the original coming together, and that's how he got these memories!]

[He is very clearly lost in thought for a bit before he accidentally tries to take a bite of his snack and misses his mouth entirely, smashing it into the side of his face.]

-Ugh! Heck. Well, I guess we don't know. I mean, sure I don't think the Goddesses would lie about that, but they might also just ...not be admitting the entire truth. Not out of maliciousness or anything, but entities that call themselves deities tend to operate on their own plane of reality when it comes to morals and motivations. Who knows why they may have or may not have told us something.

I think it's interesting, that I've wound up with so many sets of memories from other versions of me. A convergence might actually be the explanation.

[ That's better. He beams as Dipper thinks and eats, and blinks with a surprised laugh as he smashes his food into his face. Yes, very good, that's how you eat. He reaches over with a napkin to take hold of Dipper's chin to hold it still so he can wipe the food stuck to his face off. There.

He settles back and returns to his own snacks, mostly just picking at them, thinking. ]

It's possible. It's also possible we truly didn't originate here. Something like a soul - what truly makes it? Can it truly be plucked out of thin air, from a concept or idea, and have the God claim "we made you"? Every God in every World suggests that, I am sure.

[ He settles his hands in his lap, tilting his head, nodding gently. ]

It is something to consider. We also know Ourania is connected to moons throughout the Universes, so it may be creating a ... ah... black hole? effect.
