FAMILY MEETING 2.0

Who: Everyone. All Y'all. You Cannot Escape.
What: Info share because I know y'all got the plot
When: Late August, post Flower-Murdering
Where: The Inn
Warnings: triggers should be tagged appropriately in post headers! please and thank you!!

[Gnosis has government assigned himself "guy who bothers everyone about the plot" this time around. He craves information. You have information. You will give the information up during what he's calling a Town Hall, but was previously called a Family Meeting.

People who do not show up for the "what the fuck just happened this month" meeting will not be forcibly dragged into it, but will receive the most Disdainful, Judgemental look. Can you truly stand to be judged so harshly by a 35 year old man... no. You cannot. (You probably can actually he's not that intimidating.)

There are no snacks (currently) but there is freshly-brewed tea by Gnosis himself, and there's a framed corkboard he's brought downstairs (presumably out of his room) with notes on it, as well as some of those mysterious photographs that have been taken of everyone that he's asked to have. You know, so he can piece this puzzle together. Once everyone's gathered...]

Let's get started. Some of you have been here longer than others, so I hope you can volunteer information so we can figure out where we are and why, and anything else we later arrivals might have missed from the collective puzzle. Please try to stay on task.

[[ooc: hi hello this is your share-the-plot-ICly log, with the goal of a) catching up new arrivals and b) making sure information circulates ICly to avoid metagaming. which like that hasn't been a problem but you know, just in case. if you've never done one of these before they function a bit like this where everyone shares important info they've discovered with the class.]]

Mm. You weren't here for the werewolves, were you? During that time, I kept a bubble shield around the whole inn. Only one managed to get in, actually...

( oh but she's being clasped now! okay! mizuki's so cute- )

Aw, stooop, you'll make me blush~.

( except she genuinely is smiling and blushing sincerely... )

I'm so jealous!! [ Mizuki's basically just... the stereotypical Moon tarot card, if he's being honest. Illusory, unobtainable, deceitful... ] Have I told you? I'm a cnidarian Aegir, but, more specifically, I'm a moon sea jelly. I don't... realistically have physical ties to the moon, but I've always felt like...

...

......................................... werewolves??????

[personal profile] amethystic 2023-09-14 05:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, yeah, the werewolves. We just got attacked by a pack of 'em a few days before you arrived, actually. It was an all-night siege.

No, I... um. What's a werewolf...??? [ Terra is strictly team vampires, sorry. Making fiction where "human person turns into a Horrific Part Wolf Beast" would be horribly racist, too, so... ]

Oh- common name for victims of Lycanthropy, a curse where one turns into a wolf or a wolf-like monster on the night of the full moon. Though, these werewolves seems really... artificial? Like patchwork dolls...

[personal profile] mooninthewater 2023-09-15 05:54 pm (UTC)(link)
… That’s racist. [ Mizuki, no— ]

[personal profile] amethystic 2023-09-15 05:56 pm (UTC)(link)
... You know I can't control the means of an ancient curse, right...?
mooninthewater: (13)

[personal profile] mooninthewater 2023-09-15 06:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not saying it's your fault, but I can still call a curse what it is.

[personal profile] amethystic 2023-09-15 06:10 pm (UTC)(link)
... pff-

Ahem. A-anyways, yeah. A bit before you came here we were under siege from patchwork werewolves for the night. Sucked. We won though, obviously. ... Oh but that's why one of the windows looks newer than the others-

Were there any casualities?

[personal profile] amethystic 2023-09-15 06:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Only the wolves. Everyone was relatively uninjured, otherwise. The ones that didn't flee into the woods were slaughtered by the flowers.
mooninthewater: (262)

[personal profile] mooninthewater 2023-09-15 07:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, that's good. Do you know what they were after?

[personal profile] amethystic 2023-09-15 07:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Mostly they were trying to kill us, sooooo. No.
mooninthewater: (266)

[personal profile] mooninthewater 2023-09-15 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe, then, if some of them fled into the woods, we might be able to try talking to them?

[personal profile] amethystic 2023-09-15 08:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe. They could go feral and vicious again too- but it's a matter of waiting to see if they attack again next full moon... I haven't seen anything of them since the attack.
mooninthewater: (335)

[personal profile] mooninthewater 2023-09-15 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)
But if they only turn into monsters on the full moon, doesn't it make sense to seek them out now when we're not close to the full moon?? Maybe they're amiable right now.

[personal profile] amethystic 2023-09-15 08:18 pm (UTC)(link)
... The thing is, I don't think they can really turn back like they normally would be able to. Elsword and I saw one up close when it broke in through a gap in my barrier. It was like a patchwork doll- pieces of people and animal all... stitched together, kept as it was at the time. We couldn't investigate further due to the flowers devouring it, though.

[personal profile] mooninthewater 2023-09-15 08:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm... well, with the flowers gone, maybe we can just............. take one? Restrain it, see if it can talk.

I'm here this time, and I'm real good at keeping stuff from movin'.

[personal profile] amethystic 2023-09-18 05:46 pm (UTC)(link)
( she doesn't normally have the urge to make even a mildly inappropriate joke but she does bite the reflex back this time.

it is a good idea, though risky... what if they get a wear-mizuki... she couldn't bear it! )

Maybe we can, yeah. We'll have to keep an eye on the moon phases.
mooninthewater: (312)

[personal profile] mooninthewater 2023-09-18 05:52 pm (UTC)(link)
That shouldn’t be an issue~. If they do attack again, and I do capture one, what would you like me to do about the others?

[personal profile] amethystic 2023-09-18 05:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Hm... They showed regenerative properties last time, but were susceptible to mental attacks and manipulations. The main priority if they do attack again is holding a defensive position, and ensuring they don't breech wherever it is we've hold up. I would say, so long as we have another barrier, focus on defending any potential weak points they may enter through... But we'll have to see how things go at the time. There's a lot more variables now to account for.
mooninthewater: (344)

[personal profile] mooninthewater 2023-09-18 06:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Regenerative... Kind of annoying, really, but that should be fine if we break every part of them? We can always leave nothing left behind so they can't do that, right?

[personal profile] amethystic 2023-09-18 07:42 pm (UTC)(link)
( thinks. smiles. )

Probably~. If they're too focused on healing, it'll buy us some time, right? And we have a lot more people to help now, too. So, I think if they attack again it'll go much better this time.
mooninthewater: (21)

[personal profile] mooninthewater 2023-09-18 07:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, absolutely! These are the sort of things I excel at~! I'll be sure to make things go much better if it happens again, promise!
