[Gnosis has government assigned himself "guy who bothers everyone about the plot" this time around. He craves information. You have information. You will give the information up during what he's calling a Town Hall, but was previously called a Family Meeting.

People who do not show up for the "what the fuck just happened this month" meeting will not be forcibly dragged into it, but will receive the most Disdainful, Judgemental look. Can you truly stand to be judged so harshly by a 35 year old man... no. You cannot. (You probably can actually he's not that intimidating.)

There are no snacks (currently) but there is freshly-brewed tea by Gnosis himself, and there's a framed corkboard he's brought downstairs (presumably out of his room) with notes on it, as well as some of those mysterious photographs that have been taken of everyone that he's asked to have. You know, so he can piece this puzzle together. Once everyone's gathered...]

Let's get started. Some of you have been here longer than others, so I hope you can volunteer information so we can figure out where we are and why, and anything else we later arrivals might have missed from the collective puzzle. Please try to stay on task.

[The clinginess hasn't gone unnoticed. It's not like he minds having an assistant of a sort... but there's not much here to "assist" with. Not at this time. Still, he's headed downstairs to the inn lobby with his stupid little corkboard, having painstakingly unpinned it from the wall just so that he could rearrange everything on it and make room for the notes he hopes to take.]

I'm planning on calling a town hall of sorts, after what happened this month. Some others here seem to know more than I do. [Felicity for example tends to be pretty insightful.] I reasoned it would be helpful for those of us who are recent arrivals to have further context on what, exactly, is happening here.

To that end, are you particularly good at taking notes?

[ There's not "no snacks" for very long, since the moment Mizuki enters, he's carrying a tray of southern-style biscuits that look... surprisingly normal for those of you familiar with Mizuki's food. Perhaps because it's meatless? Well, whatever, he just wants people to enjoy their tea and crumpets biscuits.

While he's getting that set up he hands Gnosis a notebook that within reads Duty… protect… new moon… purify… 1st sentinel… grove's guardian… and followed up with Met a figure in the woods who said they were trying to protect us. Had glowy green lights - different from my bioluminescence. Unfortunately, I couldn't understand totally what it was trying to say!! Note to self: give to the smart ones and they can probably do it! It's a riddle, surely?

a meeting, is it? at least it's not like the meetings back at rhodes island, all stuffy and formal. shalem can relax and not hide his fatigue, the way the circles under his eyes are much darker than when he first arrived in the grove, the way he's wearing his jacket properly for once, just to cover his forearms. he's done a great deal of weed-whacking in the past hours, days, and he's... quite tired.

if anyone were to approach him however, he raises a hand.]

Please, don't mind me. I'm here to be caught up on the collective knowledge... [then he shrugs in embarrassment.] I'm afraid I haven't anything to report.

[Elsword and Shalem haven't had time to talk yet, but he quietly hands over a photograph in a nice frame, depicting the Grove's current residents — and some other unrecognizable faces — as they would have been years ago. It's akin to the creepy childhood photos left in everybody's rooms earlier in the month, the ones Gnosis is apparently collecting for ? science ??? except it's the entire group. Yes, there is in fact a little Shalem in there, standing with a little Mizuki and a little Gnosis and a little everybody-else-that's-here.]

...I don't have anything for you to do, but... I thought maybe you'd want to see this. I found it in the Manor about two months ago.

Ah... What sort of knowledge do you need? I would be happy to tell you anything... I suppose we can start with.. What do you know, of the Grove right now?

So, there's something that I've noticed because... well. I have absolutely no choice but to notice it.

As a witch, I've bound my magic- my soul- to my chosen patron, the moon. This can influence my magic in different ways but that's not important right now. My connection to the moon still stands within this place- but every night, the moon is a different moon. Not just in terms of phases, but... it's... literally a different moon. It sort of cycles through randomly- sometimes we even get my moon. ... But, yeah. Not sure what this means, but...

thank you for coming to my TED talk, here's some facts about DEATH

[Add is seated in a corner, waiting for a few others to break the ice before speaking up. He opts not to stand up for his introductions, since... well. there's still a big splint on his leg. Besides that, he also still has bandages wrapped over his right eye, and now another bandage covering his neck... it's been a rough month.

anyway. He clears his throat, one of his six drones floating up to provide a helpful holoscreen for displaying talking points.]

For those of you here I haven't spoken to yet, my name is Add. I'm a doctor, so please come to me if you have any physical injuries that need tending to. I'm always happy to make time for new patients.

Now, as for topics of interest... [his smile wavers, but only for a fraction of a second. better to deliver bad news with a smile than make anyone upset...]

As some of you are already aware, I've been absent for the past few months. Unfortunately, parts of my memory of the situation have been lost, but here is what I've been able to piece together.

[the holoscreen flickers, then displays several foggy images of a large field of wildflowers. He has several helpful angles, including a view with a large tree at the center, and one with Nene in the middle distance with her back turned to the camera]

If you are fatally injured or killed, you will be brought to a particular "garden" located somewhere within the forest. Plants and soil here contain unusual properties that are difficult to analyze, though it distinctly differs from that of the forest and grove areas. A mist-like substance in the area seems to induce a state of artificial safety and relaxation. Vivid dreams and auditory hallucinations may also be connected to that mist.

The injured and deceased, if left in this location for long enough, will recover to a living state... however, remaining in that place for too long will also cause one's body to degrade. Passage of time in the garden is also difficult to measure, so it's difficult to discern what the correct timeframe is to heal the dead without causing them to vanish. My only advice is that, if you do end up in that place, you should leave as soon as you are able to.

Regarding the method of leaving the garden, [next slide: hello, it's a picture of Nene.] this is Nene. You may have seen her around recently. She's my patient, so please be kind to her when she visits.

Nene has been tasked with guiding those who end up in the garden back to Aldric's Grove. You are likely to meet her if you die and end up there. In such an event, you are to do exactly as she says. Nene is able to traverse the forest safely due to her physical corruption. However, there are limits to how much she can extend this protection to others. You are to listen to her instructions and not deviate from them, no matter the situation. You are not safe until you are back within the grove's perimeter.

Failure to follow instructions may lead to further injury or death. This is not a warning to be taken lightly. If you end up in this situation, you will listen to her instructions.

Lastly, there is the matter of a "toll". [next slide: there is no picture for this one, just the bolded words To return to the forest, a price must be paid.]

To die and be revived by the garden, then pass through the forest back to the grove... despite the inherent risks of this journey, there is still another price that must be paid. You can think of it as a toll road controlled by the forest. You must give up something to the forest before you can make the return journey, regardless of whether you make it back or not.

Unfortunately, I can only confirm what I personally experienced... permanent, physical injury should be self explanatory. [he taps the bandage over his eye with one finger, the first and only time he's going to acknowledge it. his expression remains steady, a neutral smile that reveals nothing of his underlying emotions.]

Nene claims that it can take other things as well—memories, abilities, talents. This is something that I'd prefer we didn't have to learn more about, but in a situation where someone else passes through the garden and pays the toll... please make an effort to let me know of the results. I won't ask for specifics, only the type of toll that was taken. The better we can understand what we're working with, the more prepared we can be when it comes to dealing with it.

[...ah. So that's what happened to him. Elsword obviously hadn't bothered to ask again, since Add wasn't so willing to talk the first time around.

He's not sure if he should make it obvious he knows that Add is uncomfortable, that he can read him like an open book, and so he doesn't; rather, he silently lets Add finish, and maybe by the time Add snaps out of his dissociative technical-talk, he'll realise that there are a pair of wings curling around him.

Elsword hopes that, to anyone else, it looks more overprotective than comforting. The last thing he wants is for Add to be perceived as needing comfort, because he knows Add doesn't want that at all.]

...Mr. Gnosis made tea. Do you want some? I can get it for you.

[How else is he meant to help? There's nothing he can do now, and Add tends to hate receiving pity. A distraction seems like the only thing he can do.]

[ New information is good information. Anything that Mizuki is able to learn here might not help anyone out in the long run, but it's nice to Know Things, at the very least. He doesn't feel entirely out of the loop when things are so clearly spread out like this. When things are explained. Throughout the whole thing, Mizuki just smiles and listens and absorbs it all. He mentions dying and reviving as if it's not a big deal, so why should Mizuki consider it such? He mentions horrors of the forest and Nene and so many other things that constitutes as good information to have and the sunny disposition of Mizuki might read horribly to others, but he truly only thinks 'Doctor Add is so smart' and nothing beyond that.

He brings up the forest and it's taking of things, and Mizuki idly reaches up to run his fingers along the Oripathy monitor around his neck. Less so for the monitor itself, and more so for what lies beneath it. An all-consuming hunger for things that seem entirely unconventional, huh? Point of conflict, then, being that Mizuki wants to say that maybe he could understand something like that. That maybe he could see the psychological side of something like that? He likes that kind of stuff. But, oh, that might bring into question why he feels something like that, and he can't lie to everyone, but he also can't disobey Dr. Kal'tsit's request to keep that information under wraps. Especially not with Gnosis and Shalem here. What a dilemma, he can't never make that kind of choice.

So he doesn't. He'll just smile and listen. What good would come of something like that, anyway? Mizuki doesn't exactly have valuable information to share. That's not his job.

It isn't until there's a general somber response that Mizuki's smile falters. Chung and Elsword seem… quiet? Softer… They're not excited about this news? Why not? What's going on? There's almost a brief panic that he's not seeming "appropriate" here all of a sudden. It's something he's been demeaned for before, so he wouldn't have been surprised, but… had he missed something? He had listened so well, though. He listened to all of it. Doctor Add was so helpful! Okay, okay, rewind, what all did he say? Listen to Nene. The forest takes things. You can't "die" because you're revived. Add lost an eye. Hrm, maybe that's it?

How is Mizuki supposed to feel, then? He can't ask. The Doctor isn't here. No one else will tell him how he's supposed to feel, either. He feels… he feels… embarrassed, really. Ignore the sound of brief static, that's just Mizuki going into his camouflage and slinking away to stand next to Gnosis, wherever he might be. ]

You were - fatally wounded? Are you alright, for the soul to have been lost from your body and return - even on my world that is not so easy to do. [ Caoimhe's hand goes to her mouth - resurrection? That was great magic beyond what she could ever imagine or heard of, but she had seen it done. Seen it done by the druid in her own party. ] It will task on you, and wear you thin. Please be sure to take care of yourself and rest - ah... And you have gone through so much too with the flowers, and Elsword...

All I have been able to do is figure out was that Mizuki feeding the flowers had started the problem that ended up with everyone hallucinating! Which is interesting since ADD has now verified the idea that this entire place seems able to one way or another, absorb our abilities from us.

EHHH~?~?~? What's that you say? [ She is monologuing - feel free to ignore her. ] How do I know abilities are being absorbed!?!? Well of course that's exactly what happened during the Flora de Da-NCE!

After munching on BB-chans new sexy body, so much they were able to become resistant to fire, because that is one of BB's special powers! The divine Goddess in me and all. [ She says that out loud as if bragging to these low 'humans'. ] After realizing the flowers and Mizuki's substance shared similar traits, I made a hypothesis that then was confirmed when Fishflakes [ as if thats his name. ] kept trying to make things explode!

Not that it matters now, since the flowers are all calm and got over themselves. That said, between this and what ADD revealed I think we should be vewy, vewy, careful - hehehe ~! Don't want to lose your abilities and have them end up used against each other - that would be soooo BAD ~ ~!!

OH what else can I do? UH everything - I am so amazing. I originally was a nurse AI so I can take care of you and nurse you back to health.

[ She makes her voice sound so innocent, and her eyes lashes flutter as if implying she is as innocent as her voice implies. ]

Anyway, now seems like a good time to talk about the horrors, after everyone else has sat down and chilled out about the Green Thing and about the fact that BB just stuck her tongue in his mouth. So—]

I have pretty severe amnesia, so I'm sorry in advance if I forget who you are. But that's not what I wanted to discuss.

[Elsword sets a couple things down on the coffee table, in front of where hopefully most people have gathered since there's a couch?? unless you freaks are standing out in the hall idk. The items are a large, framed group photograph depicting the current residents of the Grove as well as some of their friends or other loved ones years ago, when they were all children and/or the immortal equivalent of a child don't make this complicated, okay, and a journal detailing some trade routes as well as the Grove's family/residential matters. Your family matters might be in here. :)

Also he is Pointedly trying to keep that photo away from Add bc his dead mom is in it but we'll see how this goes.]

I showed some of you these already. I found these in Aldric's Mansion a couple months ago... I broke in with Felicity's help. I also have a map of the Grove hanging up in my house. [It was a bit too big to bring here.] We're actually in a really small part of it. Everything we can't get to is covered by the fog here.

[Suddenly his eyes darken, and Elsword stares down at the floor.]

But more importantly than all of that, there are children in the Manor. Three— no, sorry. Two. The third... was dead in her room, when I went to try to rescue them. I have a feeling that if I had gone in a day or so earlier, I probably wouldn't have been too late. [Guilt weighs heavy. He sighs and runs a hand back through his hair.] The grave outside the Manor was set up by me and Rennuid for her. Her name is Audrey.

...and as for the other kids, they don't want any of us going in there. I got attacked while I was inside. They're doing some sort of ritual, and said I was interrupting. When I finally was forced to leave, I got electrocuted, so... uh. Don't try to go in there. I don't think you can anyway, since I tried to get over the fence and something tossed me outside of it immediately.

As for other things, uh... make sure you guys play nice with the forest. I know it sounds dumb, but— I got infected by it because I killed one of its creatures, [which regenerated anyway, thanks forest,] and it's been getting worse ever since.

[At that, he pulls off the armour on his right arm and rolls his sleeve up. Were it not for Add chopping the flowers off of him, his arm would be sprouting — as it is now, black veins are visible under the surface of his skin, and there are little nubs where the flowers once were.]

It was blooming, but Add cut them off. [They Are Growing Back.] Sometimes, I can't control my arm because of the infection, and sometimes I have nightmares about it, whichisweirdbecauseIdon'tdream, and I don't want this to happen to anyone else. I know none of us want to be nice, but I don't want anyone else to get infected like me.

Regarding the journal for BB & Caoimhe

Caoimhe
- Emer and Beithir used to always be all over each other, it use to be annoying but as of late the two seem distance from one another. I wonder if it has to do with [REDACTED] coming back to town.
- [REDACTED] is a dick, but honestly he gets the job done when you need him too.
- Caoimhe is such a fathers girl, they are always out on the sail boat after attending to the light house, and she is always singing to him.
- The Tuatha De amaze me that historically speaking they lived as nomadic folk, and have close ties to the old ritualistic ways. Their Matriarch Morganna is wonderful but her daughter Maeve, can be a handful.
- Caragh once again, continues to get into fights with the other children - but Caoimhe and Maeve are always able to get her to act like a normal girl somehow. What is it about those three girls that seem as if they are inseparable?
- Caragh's mother dementia seems to be getting worse, but with how close the Tuatha de are I don't think she will be without a family.
- How many more times are the bison going to be set loose - who keeps doing this?? Morganna is getting annoyed. I look forward to what trade they bring with them the next time they are accounted for.
- It looks like the Tuatha de are going to be leaving again, they come here every 3 years or so and stay for about a year before they are traveling again.
- Beithir takes his wife, and Caoimhe back into the ocean. They come back around the same time the Tuatha de do.

BB ( I'm actually gunna change it from what I first thought, because this makes more sense and is fucked up haha )
- You don't ever see BB's name mentioned until it is attached to one point and one point only: Sakura has been studying relentlessly after working many years as a school nurse to join something what is called the 'SE.RA.PH' something about going to space? I don't quite get it, but she has been working on funds to set up an observatory in this little ol' place for a while. She is calling it her 'BB' project, every time I ask what BB stands for she giggles a lot and says that 'its a secret.'
- After if you go back, you get a bunch of tame normal info about Sakura being like a teen ( 18 ish ) that she is a genius and incredibly kind. You learn she is a nurse at the school and spent her time hanging out with someone named Hakuno a lot.
- Pretty sure Sakura has a serious thing for Hakuno even though Hakuno seems to have a serious thing going on with 10 other kids. Its kind of insane. Why are teens like this?
- Honestly the more you read the more jarring you should feel about how normal Sakura is there really isnt anything to reveal other then her being unremarkable, attached to Hakuno, and smart/studious a nurse at the school and is working on an observatory because space.

Overall, from now, to then, and then some.

[ With steeled nerves, Caoimhe takes a deep breath. Attempting to act like someone else rather then herself, she manages to easily conduct herself accordingly. Though it is obvious and evident she is trying hard to keep herself steady. ]

I... I wanted to keep everyone upon the same wavelength, as such I will do my best to reiterate all things that have been said before. To those who were not around us.

[ I am not gunna type out HOW she says it but she basically informs those who are interested and was not here before the following information:

- Caoimhe has tried to speak to the forest a few times, but anytime she does the forest tells her that she needs to join them. To let it love them, because it will show them the 'Shrine.' Something about this 'Shrine' at the time seemed important. [ Thread ]
- She will mention additionally, found in the same thread about a girl that is trapped with the forest buried deep within her. She thought at first this was Nene, but perhaps she is wrong.
- Caoimhe will bring up the time with the werewolves, and that when they were defeated there was no trace of them. This was when the flowers began to become ravenous as they consumed the werewolves. Making it hard for anyone to skin them or attempt to study them. [ Thread ]

As the shopkeeper gave his name to the forest, and she understands how Faekind work. That they should all be careful with their names when speaking to the forest too.
- Says that Nene works with the forest, as their hand. Implies that, if they can find a way to save her. She would like to be able to.
- Caoimhe will mention she has given some cursed items that came with her from her world of great power to the Trader to keep and protect, she was so happy and pleased by the Trader. She implies that the Trader is of great power and is bewildered by her presence. [ thread ]

- Made a shrine for someone named 9S, as she believed he is a god ( hes not ). She has not seen him and is worried, she wonders if anyone knows where he has went?

So long as no one interrupts her she will kind of more or less keep on topic but if she is stopped sometimes she will...
