[Gnosis has government assigned himself "guy who bothers everyone about the plot" this time around. He craves information. You have information. You will give the information up during what he's calling a Town Hall, but was previously called a Family Meeting.

People who do not show up for the "what the fuck just happened this month" meeting will not be forcibly dragged into it, but will receive the most Disdainful, Judgemental look. Can you truly stand to be judged so harshly by a 35 year old man... no. You cannot. (You probably can actually he's not that intimidating.)

There are no snacks (currently) but there is freshly-brewed tea by Gnosis himself, and there's a framed corkboard he's brought downstairs (presumably out of his room) with notes on it, as well as some of those mysterious photographs that have been taken of everyone that he's asked to have. You know, so he can piece this puzzle together. Once everyone's gathered...]

Let's get started. Some of you have been here longer than others, so I hope you can volunteer information so we can figure out where we are and why, and anything else we later arrivals might have missed from the collective puzzle. Please try to stay on task.

[his drones beep, then a fresh holoscreen pops open in front of him with one of those audio visualizers on it. then, Add's voice crackles in—]

ADD: And to whom do I owe the pleasure? Please, refresh my memory. It's been oh so long.
ZAHLIYA: You snark. ...you have... what the Mother is after. Be cautious.
ZAHLIYA: Zahliya.
ADD: And who would this "mother" be? The forest...?
ZAHLIYA: Moder.
ADD: Noted. I appreciate your concern. Now, why are you out here so late at night? Staying out of trouble, I hope?
ZAHLIYA: In trouble, actually. ...assistance getting out... can't fend off that thing... much longer.
ADD: ... Sorry, but I'm afraid it's rather difficult for me to trust what you're saying. I hope you understand.
ADD: What is it you're fending off, if I may ask?
[audio cuts for a second, as if something has been altered]
ZAHLIYA: I'm trying... keep you all from... hurt. Moder can't... past where She stands now.
[another cut]
ADD: Perhaps if you explained yourself more clearly...?
ZAHLIYA: Moder breaking in... certain doom for you all. I am... the First Sentinel... Grove's Guardian.
ZAHLIYA: But I cannot... stand against her alone. My strength wanes.
ADD: Let's say, hypothetically, I decide to help stand against this threat... What would that entail, exactly?
ZAHLIYA: ...the New Moon comes, call to ...Purifier, He Who... First Sentinel, the Grove's Guardian... me.
ZAHLIYA: I... purify the corruption. Too much... I start to weaken. That's where I'm at now.
ZAHLIYA: You're a doctor. You can help... I can return to the fog then. Deal with Moder.
ADD: Sorry, could you repeat that first part? There seems to be some interference... if it is indeed something that requires a doctor, I won't be much help if I don't know who I'm looking for.
ZAHLIYA: When... New Moon comes, c... to the Purifier, ...is the First Sentinel, the... Guardian.
ZAHLIYA: The magic should allow... pass through.
ADD: What purifier? Is that a person, an object, do I need to go to a specific place? What's passing through? I'm missing crucial information.
ZAHLIYA: Proper noun. "Purifier". That's me.
[another cut... wow there sure was a lot of interference huh]
ADD: On the new moon, you will be called for. Don't be late.
ZAHLIYA: I won't be. You'll see.

[the recording ends with a loud rustling, something charging through the underbrush... then, silence.

Add closes out the holoscreen.]

Whether we can trust anything this entity says or not is still unknown. That said... I believe we stand to gain more by trusting them. Ignoring the request carries a risk of it's own, and if it's something so simple to let them in, I'd rather we do so under controlled variables than wait until someone goes rogue and tries it alone.

[ BB very rudely appears, though she was originally engrossed in the holoscreen that appears. Her attention spun upon the drones enacting their masters wishes, she then reaches for one. ]

[ Well she doesn't know if that is inherently true or not, but she does want to hack into a system when its put in front of her face like that. ]

[she can grab onto dynamo if she wants, but if she starts getting rough with them they will give her an electrical shock... and/or stab with pointy needle. for now they just beep in disapproval at being pulled around.

Add smiles, but in his usual passive aggressive you think you can tell me what to do kind of way.]

[Gnosis politely listens to all of that... the cuts are a bit suspicious, but he's not going to question Add. He'd probably do the same thing, whether interference or just because something was unimportant and needed to be cut out.

What does catch his attention, though—]

"Moder"? That's a Kjeragi word. [Well. No it's Norse. But you know—]

Hm. It'd be worthwhile to ask her for details, as well as the Shopkeeper... both the information we have on "Moder" as well as the so-called Protector. Even if they decline to answer, their reaction would be enough of a gauge.

Mizuki, since you made the initial suggestion, would you be able to ask them about it? [anyone but Add thanks they both hate him he doesn't wanna say it]

[ In hindsight, Mizuki probably should've done that in the moment instead of trying to not get startled by some dumb flames, but he's never claimed to be the smartest man ever. Quite the opposite, he is often reminding people he's not very smart at all. This doesn't even occur to him in the moment, though, as he is just overly thrilled for Add to tell him what to do. For a hero's orders. He beams with the intensity of several suns, bioluminescence shining despite the fact that the room was perfectly bright anyway from his sheer giddiness. ]

Truly? Does it have a similar meaning to what I just told Add?

Yes... The Orc's referred to the spirit of 'Móðr' of something that comes from the sap of the great tree. They drink it to gain its spirits... They are a people of strength, so I believe this ... Makes most sense...

Although, I do not know - does this mean...? Should we value our knowledge as people who can speak this language, and look more into it?

It seems like a worthwhile endeavour, though our definitions vary somewhat. "The sap of the great tree" does not apply in Kjerag. It's merely a word in our language.

Ah... I... I don't know more then that, it is what they call the sap though. I tasted it once... It was very bitter, and strong.
