FAMILY MEETING 2.0
Who: Everyone. All Y'all. You Cannot Escape.
What: Info share because I know y'all got the plot
When: Late August, post Flower-Murdering
Where: The Inn
Warnings: triggers should be tagged appropriately in post headers! please and thank you!!
[Gnosis has government assigned himself "guy who bothers everyone about the plot" this time around. He craves information. You have information. You will give the information up during what he's calling a Town Hall, but was previously called a Family Meeting.
People who do not show up for the "what the fuck just happened this month" meeting will not be forcibly dragged into it, but will receive the most Disdainful, Judgemental look. Can you truly stand to be judged so harshly by a 35 year old man... no. You cannot. (You probably can actually he's not that intimidating.)
There are no snacks (currently) but there is freshly-brewed tea by Gnosis himself, and there's a framed corkboard he's brought downstairs (presumably out of his room) with notes on it, as well as some of those mysterious photographs that have been taken of everyone that he's asked to have. You know, so he can piece this puzzle together. Once everyone's gathered...]
Let's get started. Some of you have been here longer than others, so I hope you can volunteer information so we can figure out where we are and why, and anything else we later arrivals might have missed from the collective puzzle. Please try to stay on task.
[[ooc: hi hello this is your share-the-plot-ICly log, with the goal of a) catching up new arrivals and b) making sure information circulates ICly to avoid metagaming. which like that hasn't been a problem but you know, just in case. if you've never done one of these before they function a bit like this where everyone shares important info they've discovered with the class.]]

A few entries forward, Irene will find notes about a trade ship being attacked by a "strange, tentacled thing"... but there are no other records about if this has happened again, or if there's any protocol around it.
It is also noted in another entry that there are many sharp stones on the coast, several miles out, that have caused disasters in the past from sailors who weren't paying attention or didn't know the lay of the sea.

The river fish seem to be more commonly talked about at a certain point, as the river is far closer. There are, again, pretty normal fish in there — Crappie, Speck, Bluegill, etc.
The weirdest fish mentioned are "something long and slimy and with too many teeth" and "something that's like a hermit crab with tentacles" but it's unclear if these are actually dangerous creatures or like, an eel/oarfish or a nautilus. Irene can take those descriptions as she wishes.

Okay, aside from the water-based things, can Irene get a feel for what "business as usual" may have been by skimming over the pages? ]

There are holidays and festivals, there are fishing tournaments and mentions of children playing in snow, there are weddings and birthday parties and all of it is a settlement-wide event. Most importantly, there is a lot of love.

...
Is there anything about Dario? ]

On one particular journal entry, Aldric writes that Dario arrived in the grove with a young girl in his arms, and did not return to Haven. Instead, he raised the little girl in the new settlement.

…Well, maybe not Mizuki himself, but get someone else to-
If not, he won't attempt. Or if it is, but you just want to keep it intact, Mizuki isn't being discreet about it. Feel free to have Elsword say something??? ]

But yeah if Mizuki starts trying to rip things out, Elsword will likely come over to say, hey let's not that's evidence. He didn't get to when Shalem started tearing shit out, so.

Basically is there a time difference between the start of the journal that talks about haven, and any fish/etc. Versus the moment the Tentacle monster showed up -
with caoimhe reading the journal, does she notice it start around when Aldric begins talking about his dreams of Elijah and the falling of stars. ]
no subject
As far as she can tell, there's no correlation between the falling of the stars and the ocean being weird. The ocean seems to just be the ocean, as far as Aldric's writing is concerned.
