NEW MOON, WHO DIS?

"INVITATION"

Everyone will get a recounting from Mizuki about his encounter with the creature in the woods, regardless of whether or not you had your own run in it with. He knows it was brought up before, but he just wants to make extra sure everyone is up to speed! He gives a general outline of information that he learned from Ydalir, the Trader. (And, yes, he calls her that to everyone.)

One, the creature's name is Zahliya, but has many overall titles. His full title seems to be "Zahliya, The Purifier, He Who is the First Sentinel, the Grove's Guardian". It's kind of a mouthful, but Mizuki seems adamant you do your best to remember it all.
Two, "Purifier" seems to imply his capability to ward off and, well, purify corruption from the forest. This is obviously going to be very useful to the Grove as a whole.
Three, the fog is apparently at its weakest during that of a new moon, hence the timing. Which is tonight, Mizuki happily reminds you!
Four... "Zahliya needs our help."

He doesn't seem to elaborate further on that last point. Feel free to ask him about it, or just go to your fellow neighbors and be like "hey, what the fuck is that cryptic twink on about???" Regardless of what you do with that information, Mizuki strongly encourages your to meet with everyone at the edge of the fog closest to the inn tonight.

GATHERING

...And by "strongly encourages", it means he will drag your dumb ass to the meeting if you need an excuse to have them actually show up. Mizuki seems very adamant about this. Zahliya is their friend now! We don't leave friends behind.

Mizuki explains that it seems relatively simple, all things considered. Simple relative to other things within the Grove, anyway. They just all gotta... "wish" for Zahliya. Sort of like believing in fairies, or calling out one's name for them to appear. Sort of.

He's certainly not going to lead in this, however. He's just here to provide the information! If anything, he's more hopeful that someone else will take the reigns from him the moment all knowledge about this is out there.

The OOC post about this event is here. I figured I should make the post about it initially, considering Mizuki dug for the lore about Zahliya, but considering he is not the leader-type, he will simply defer to the group from here. This is helpful for both chaos reasons and so everyone can more easily be involved. I also left the first prompt open for any pre-discussions about this you'd like to get out of the way, though if you would just like to read through Mizuki's discussion with the Trader and handwave knowing it, I'm totally fine with that, too. Mizuki wouldn't make any attempts to hide information from anyone, assuming they asked him the question first.

• The event begins with characters learning and talking about how to go about the information above. Caoimhe's brought a song. Natsuno brought knives. BB brought herself (unfortunately). Add brought... medical attention. All's well!
• Until it isn't, as when the moon is at its zenith, there's a horrifying roar and two mysterious sets of footprints within the fog. Using the goggles from the Shopkeeper, Add is able to find a twisted looking creature and a humanoid. It's decided that it's now or never to call out for their Guardian friend.
• And he does, in fact, appear! But he certainly doesn't seem to be doing so hot...
• ...but taking care of him might have to come second to the very angry monster beyond Felicity's barrier.

[ BB's hilarious chiming and manipulation of who was her monster girlfriend, seemed to pay off roughly. She was there with expectations to wait and watch, and when the one she wanted finally came - oh how her little heart raced! Ohhhh I'm your dream girl !! This is real love ~~ But you know what they say about me~~!! ]

Oh~~ you both got this, I believe in you. [ She says to Irene and Fel, standing there eyes wafting over to the cute moose girlfriend she has been waiting for this entire time.

Does she have eyes, does she have...? A face?? Can BB and her lock eyes??? Can love form between two monsters? ]

[Moder is restrained and being shot right now, but through the smoke, BB will see glowing eyes under that human torso Moder calls a head.

Their eyes meet.

Moder's forehands beckon BB forward. Will she come closer?]

Their eyes meet and BB's flash red - lines of an imaginary space detail themselves around HER and MODR. No one else, though maybe Mizuki as a treat - and if he wants. Can have a inkling of a feeling something is going on.

Come lets go to a place - not the garden.

A place, where time doesn't matter and they can have a little fun, and maybe BB ruins everything.

There's a tentative draw here, as if implied BB has every intention to make Modr stronger but she cant in the open. Can't in a world, realm, or plane that denies her presence. She can in her own imaginary space, where time does not matter and when all is said and done. They can spend years there if they wanted to, together. Then come back - to this very moment.

But she doesn't need years, she just needs a few moments.

Time stops for everyone else but not these two -

A screen flickers in front of Modr's face.

It's literally a fucking Otome Visual novel chat prompt, the text upon it reads:

You have a feeling when all is said and done, the girl in front you is insane. At least for a human, for someone who is a monster and an other worldly being. Shei s relatively sane, normal even.

Moder doesn't know what a beach is. She hasn't gone that far out. Beach, beach... hm. She will go to the Beach, beach.

There's not a thought in her head she just selects that option. This is the only non-hostile person here clearly.]

[ Here they are, within the beaches of Luluhawa - except just kidding, you're not. ]

LETS SET THE STAGE!!! EVERYONE!! EXIT STAGE RIGHT!!

[ You get BB on a ridiculously small box, with a megaphone making a bunch of weird NPC people that don't actually exist, because they are data. Not even AI, just data.

Picking up squares and moving them aside. As if each square contained a piece of data, and they were rearranging it. It looks like a 3 dimensional cube, black and lined with red... They are plucking them out of the ocean floor, and the buildings, and everthing around them...

It takes a minute, and the ridiculousness of it, need not be lost on anyone seeing this, but after a few moments. There is suddenly a filtering in and out of realities - blinking from instance to instance. Building blocks clattering together in the distance. The world around them shifts, and suddenly they are in a carbon copy of the Grove.

Except this one here has a school, and there are FAR more buildings within this new Grove. With characters that fill the entire area. Who have never lived in the Grove in the first place. It is... A place that BB, made just for her and Modr, a place she made and a funny means, of getting to know her.

Where are they?

They are in the school, and BB - no Sakura. Is standing there before Modr, with a white coat draped over her shoulders. As if she were a doctor, and school outfit beneath it. Sakura seems to look at the other, with a blank look, tilting her head slightly over to one side. ]

Ah, are you alright? Did you hurt your head?

[ Your memories are fuzzy - do you look human? Yes probably, what do you look like? Anyone you want to look like, BB lets the system adjudicate what best fits Modr's taste. Are you a mom checking in on your child? A student? A teacher? The data will autofill, and make this Otome wonder land of hers. An applicable manner of which, true love can form. Or maybe not - I don't control you. BB does certainly, right now, in a matter of speaking.

At any rate - there is, a purple hair'd girl. Standing before the figure and asking her gently, if she is okay. ]

Can you hear me..?

If I were to humanize her... well, Moder has no concept of this, but she definitely looks like a middle-aged mother-type of woman with brown hair and antlers. And she is very, very fucking confused.]

Then is your head alright? [ Sakura says, far too sweetly. She opens the door behind her and offers the other to come within. ] If you would like, I can check you over? It would only take a few minutes, and then maybe you can tell me what some of your concerns are?

[ Dearest Modr we are in BB's imaginary space having a grand ol normal regular time. ]

Please sit down then. [ Sakura - BB as Sakura, who is just BB and BB is just all the kya I am in love with someone parts of her - anyway. She moves the other to sit at a seat and goes to grab a thermometer - one of those old-fashioned ones used in the 90s still. ]

Is everything going alright lately?

[She sits. She hasn't seen a device like that before, and her eyes carefully track it.]

No. [She shakes her head.] Everything is going wrong. I can't find Nene. She's only a little girl, and I protect her, and I know she left the forest at some point. I don't know where she could have gone from there.

Oh! [ sakura gives a little chuckle, and auto-fills information as she continues speaking. ] Children can be so much like that, isn't that right? Running away from us when we only are trying to keep them safe... Hehe, I am sure she will come back to you. First we have to make sure you are doing okay, alright?

[ She whirls the thermometer around. ]

Could you say ahhh - for me? I just want to make sure you are not running a fever.

Yes, I'm sure... I'm sure no one would take her away or try to hurt her. She's just going through a rebellious phase...

[...but she's pretty suspicious over why Nene would leave in the first place. Why would she leave?

Moder opens her mouth and says "aaah", as instructed.]

[ Hand wave what you want but at some point after their fun dating simulator is done, before she blitz's Modr back into reality. Bb stands there in the dark, staring at Modr with absolute adoration and interest. ]

Do you have a wish?

[ There's a smirk to be had against her face, and she looks at you. ]

I mean, you do not need to give everything away. Even I know you cant do that .

I just mean, do you have a wish?

[Her wish is simple. It's the same thing she gives to Mizuki, but in Old Norse. Does BB know Old Norse?]

I see you. [ She does, because she is an immaculate and hefty with a vast amount of data at her disposal. Understanding something as simple as an old ancient language like this is possible.

by the way did I ever mention in the fucking moon cell there is a old alien god that is harbored within it and its body was used by Odin to make the Valkyries - fucking Christ I am not making shit this up, but anyways.

BB is suddenly close in front of her, floating gently within the darkness. The moon is in the distance, hanging there rather romantically. As it pours into the empty void around them, a muck like substance dripping into a ocean of black.

Within their hands, hooves, maybe it just floats there out of BB's hands to the existence that most is like her. A gift most horrendous, is bestowed -

Aurea Poculum, an item that specifically: When a wish is most innocent - like the one stated. Will be granted in the most corruptible, twisted, and imaginable way possible. The less innocent it is, the less twisted it becomes however since the wish Modr has is most innocent, and since it is most true - the wish will become granted in the most twisted way. Potentially aligning with Modr's desires -

However, you must know how to use it. Holy Grail's in fate are more or less Elswords - magical items that contain such immaculate energy. They are meant to reach the root - the meaning of the world and although can grant you the ability to create the wish - cannot tell you how to make it happen. It can only make the wish happen, in a way that you know how to make it happen.

If your wish is: I want a sandwich, and you know how to make a sandwich. You get a sandwich.
If your wish is: I want to make a sandwich, and you don't know how to make a sandwich. You get bread meatballs, and spaghetti meat noodles.
With Aurea Poculum: I want a sandwich, and you know how to make a sandwich - becomes: You get a sandwich and when you bite into it you realize you see an eyeball just fell out of it.


Basically that, enjoy BB's romantic gift to you Modr. ]

[ She gives the beautiful Moose lady a kiss on her nosey. This is exactly the reason she passes out!!!! Almost dies!!! Literally rips her heart out and gives it to you!! ]

[Moder's awful little hands take the grail. She inspects it... thinks on BB's words. She's allowed to make a wish? Why does BB not wish for things herself, she wonders? BB could wish Moder away. BB could wish to rule the world, right?

And then BB hits the fucking deck. Okay.

Moder holds the grail, and with it in her hands, she makes a wish...
