( after everyone's had time to rest after "forest quest", eventually felicity will, one by one, tell everyone to meet up at the inn at 6 pm. by the time they get there, she'll have several snacks out- cookies, breads, and chocolate croissants alongside fruits and vegetables and cuts of smoked fish- and a giant pot of tea and another of coffee ready with the fixings. it looks like she's got a whiteboard out? but no, she's mostly just 'writing' in the air just in front of a wall to make notes. she's already got a summary of what they've already learned and shared previously. )

THE LOCALS

HEIMR - runs the general store, a sad dad. "gave up his name" to the forest, which is why he's a shadow person now.
YDALIR - runs the trading tent, able to access other worlds??? "gave up her name" to the forest, see above.
RUSTY - a very good dog. be nice to him or else
ZAHLIYA - a gargoyle who's been brought to life. able to deal with corruption on a certain level. likes cheese. guardian of the grove, has many titles. good for him.
NENE - add's kid now, dealing with heavy corruption. guides people from the garden back to safety. say hi to nene she's here somewhere. if she ever brings you back to the grove, listen to her.
MODER - the big moose lady. used to be evil. she's cool now.

PLACES
INN - You are Here. Several rooms on the bottom floor can't be opened, give a heavy sense of dread when approached. You may have noticed an odd sense of familiarity otherwise.
ALDRIC'S MANOR -Contains at least three children, one dead. Elsword discovered a map and a journal there. Currently unable to get past the walls. The children inside are conducting a ritual, the details unknown.
PEOPLE FOREST - A part of the forest where the trees look like actual people. Very fucked up.
THE RIVER - Home of the river guardian, who Elsword and 9S (not here anymore) freed. Return the remains of any fish you eat to the river, as it's requested. Also it made us an apple tree. Underneath the river were previously the remains of dozens of people who had been buried alive. Unsure if this has changed since the original monster has been defeated.
VOLCANO - ???? FUCKED UP
THE GARDEN - Those who die or experience fatal injuries are brought here to recover both body and soul. filled with flowers and an ethereal mist. remaining in the garden after recovery leads to risk of degrading into the mist itself. to leave the garden safely however you are forced to pay a toll (permanent physical injury confirmed, memory loss, skill loss, ect. claimed)
CHURCH - ??? Nene used to live there.

THINGS

ALDRIC'S JOURNAL - contains information about how the grove used to be, including the fact that "we" used to live here. hold questions, this will be discussed further. Many pages are missing, and it's presumably not the only journal he's kept.
OLD PHOTOS - pictures of us that have been scattered around the inn. presumably of our "past lives". fucked up if true.

THE FOREST

A childish monster that's managed to take over the entire forest. Must be asked nicely to get wood or to enter long enough to forage or hunt, and thanked nicely after. Will throw tantrums so hard that it thunders and lightning strikes. Has a plethora of cursed plants and mutated or mutilated fauna ready to attack. Able to infect people with cursed plants also. Dangerous, petty, able to inflict curses for a time. Do NOT engage if possible. Threats include Carnivorous Flowers (able to absorb abilities of people it feeds from), wood wolves, patchwork "werewolves" made from various creatures and people, and more.

OTHER

THE MOON - changes in the sense that it's literally a different moon every night. sometimes it's one that's already "visited" before.
THE SEA - shown on the map, mentioned on the journal. it looks like a cliff overlooks the waters. there's notes of unusual happenings but it's unclear if it's just normal but weird fish or legitimate sea monsters.
 

( ... yeah, it's. it's a lot. felicity eventually "caps" the "marker" she was writing with and steps back. )

Sorry if I missed anything, but- this is what we've got so far. I'll be adding to the board as we go- or share the marker as needed. And please remember, every bit of information helps so if you know something, please say something.

... That is not unheard of... Not so much splitting it, but one can transfer the seals that come with contracting a servant. From Master to Master. It is not usually something that occurs, and it is not in our capacity as servants to make this decision... But. It is possible.

You do not care for titles then? [ It surprises him a bit, and the expression on his face shows slightly. There's is a quirk on his brow, it is evident he has not met a witch - as she introduced herself. Or magus, which does not like when they are not appropriately titled. ]

I'll use them where appropriate, but... Mmmm. I've lived most of my life under a title. Even my closest friends wouldn't call me by name. I want to be just me.

I see. [ That makes sense to him, but the fact that she does not know him even when his name was given. Well - - he kind of understands that incredibly so. ]

When servants give their name it is a sign of trust, because knowing our name alone is enough to often times undo us. Knowing this, you may call me as you like.

... Names always have power. But I won't betray this trust.

They do, yes. I almost feel twisted, [ Truly, twisted. ] over the pointlessness of what may have been my life in this apparent 'new' life of ours away from the Grove. I suppose there is no questioning it.

... I don't... think it was pointless.

I don't like the idea myself. For a lot of reasons. I'm jealous of the past Felicity. But... I don't think... a life where love was had, where people had their community and things were bright until the Forest happened was pointless.

Just hard to reconcile.

No, but I think that I would have rather died and my soul remain here. Then to have been forced to relive in another plane - with another life entirely.

That is just my own opinion. I am no stranger to, looking in the face of another iteration of yourself and contemplating its meanings.

Yeah. The selfishness of whoever enacted out that ritual, but I guess it is what it is.

Dying here and staying here was probably a bad thing- this place seems to feed off of death, and it was to save our souls. But, we don't know what the real consequences would have been.

Hm. Maybe its that how we are now - is stronger than whatever life we led when we lived here. Meaning, with us coming back - we can actually change something now.

I fuckin' hope so. I'm a "kill your god if it's not serving you well" kind of girl, and a forest that thinks its god is no different.

Great! Back home, I heard someone killed a god and took his throne so that he can fix the divine laws. Good for him, honestly!

I see, if only that were possible in our realm. It might solve all the problems going on within it. [ Or make them worse actually lmao. ] So then, the Forest God - or someone acting like one, that is there power?

I refuse to acknowledge it as a god, even if it is. But the locals also seem to think its not one, so I think its probably more like a demon...? Or something similar. There's not a lot of information on it's power, unless Nene has more to say on that...?

I prefer the term "little shitlord", among other things. You may as well remove the notion that it is a deity at all before we kill it.

It seems delegating a title of any sort to it will give it power... So that may be the best line of action.

If I may put in my two cents? Sorry to butt in, but I believe the less we know about it, the better off we'll be, really. Learning things about it that'll help us tactically is nice, but learning things about it that don't help us in the end may actually be harmful.

Sort of like killing memories or information on people makes them weaker. [ Mizuki's dealt with things like this before, actually- ]

[ Lancelot lets out an VERY Exhaustible sigh. So many thoughts formulate within his mind, both tactical and otherwise. ]

If this Beast - let us call it a Beast. A Monster. Derives power from being known and of belief, then the more who know it is a Monster needing to be quelled and can be. Is an important acknowledgment that needs to be shared across all who are forced to live here by its rule.

[ He leans into his words, seemingly forgetting his place as a Knight - but annoyed that really the only one who seems to make sense to Lancelot is Irene. ]

Less you end up with someone misguided or others, unsatisfied by our acquisition.

I want no part in squabbling about our decisions on how to handle that thing, fighting amongst each other about petty shit - fine. Not, on how that beast is handled.

It is a beast, we need to learn how it can be killed. We leave no one in the dark about it, and we treat it as a pest needing to be extinguished. Simple, easy, and we let that be known.

Otherwise, beliefs will change among each other, and there may be issues later on the road.
