Not chew, per se, but they were able to break through the wood and glass of my home. I assume they're very noisy about it since my pets responded to their presence but I didn't until I had visuals. If there were other tells, I didn't notice.

It might be just the correct combination of things? The fireplace is meant to ward off swarms, for example. It’s why I can’t stand by it, haha! It could also be the presence of a lot of warm bodies? Or… just the age of this place as a whole? I know the other buildings were “built” at the time time, but this Inn has been here so long that the creatures see it as part of the ground/not just a manmade structure and thus not worth their time??? Stable is good! If you have any garlic, ginger, rosemary, thyme, basil or oregano it will help with symptoms at least. Lemons and other citrus are also good of course! As is mint. I'm sure it won't subside until this nightmare ends, but it could offer some relief at the very least. And cookies can get the flu, yes. We also have cookie-specific illnesses that I'm grateful do not translate to human vessels... one illness makes one's dough get soggy. Which doesn't sound bad until pieces start sloughing off and melting.
