DOES IT GET RANDOMLY REALLY, REALLY, REALLY BAD HERE IN OCTOBER EVERY YEAR? LIKE BLOOD RUNNING THROUGH THE STREETS, ETERNAL NIGHT, AND SORTA PERMANENT INSOMNIA? OR IS IT JUST STANDARD HALLOWEEN SHENANIGANS? WHAT LEVEL OF TORTURE AND TORMENT SHOULD WE EXPECT HERE? A 2? A 12???

...I DUNNO HOW TO END THIS SO I'M GOING BACK TO BOARDING UP OUR WINDOWS.

Gnosis Edelweiss-Silverash. We spoke briefly about parties and magic, if I'm not mistaken.

Last October was largely fine. A group of wandering skeletons threw a masquerade for everyone that was open every night from the 1st through the 31st. There were a few apparitions of ghosts people knew — I saw my parents, for example — but otherwise, it wasn't bad.

There was food and liquor, yes.

The ghosts weren't throwing things. They didn't acknowledge any of us, they just acted like they were doing a daily routine. They'd pass through us sometimes if we were in the way.

What's "Halloween"?

Dipper here, Grunkle Stan is withholding a little bit of context, but my family and I lived for a while in what was basically a Nightmare Realm, that really, really ramped up the nightmare aspect during October. We just want to know what to expect.

Also Halloween is a holiday from our original world. It's meant to be a spooky holiday but in a fun way. It used to be my favorite holiday until Hell!October ruined it.

After all, outside the typical festivals we hold in Vaugarde, I would be none the wiser with my own experience from home.

HALLOWEEN IS THE BEST HOLIDAY THERE IS! YOU DRESS UP IN COSTUMES AND KNOCK ON PEOPLE'S DOORS TO BEG FOR CANDY! PLUS IT'S AN EXCUSE TO SCARE PEOPLE AND MESS WITH THEM, AND CELEBRATE ALL THINGS SPOOKY! WE USED TO LIVE IN GRAVITY FALLS AND THEY LIKED IT SO MUCH THEY DID IT TWICE A YEAR!

Infuriating!!! As this is an unnatural thing for blood to do, I can only assume someone was wasting what was otherwise perfectly valuable blood for...whatever performance they were trying to achieve. Wretched...disgusting...


...at the same time, there was once a time when my dear husband may have found something like that quite enjoyable... I can only imagine how cute he'd be about it... oh... I'm so conflicted now... As much as I despise waste, I would do anything for that smile...
